Our Group Badge is worn on the point of our green Scarf and was approved by the Scout Assosiation on the 12 October 1945.
The design is believed to be of a mason’s carving from the original London Bridge, and is said to represent the following:-
- A solid base to stand on (The red line across the bottom)
- Crossed arms reaching to heaven (The red saltire cross)
- The whole group is a complete circle or Gods love embraces all (The red circle with the yellow cross on top)
- All set on a green rectangle
The original badge form the 1940’s was manufactured in felt.
Also another version is known which is a square badge with a yellow border date unknown.
